Kalle Kalima is an versatile guitarist and composer, operating mainly in the field of jazz. Pentasonic is a solo project where he uses different effects and preparations. The music is built from small cells into an orchestral unity. Kalima's group K-18 is situated between avant-garde and free improvisation. The musicians are looking for new sounds by using micro-intervals and contrasts between acoustic and electric instruments.
